Overview

The increasing emphasis on sustainability and environmental stewardship has prompted organisations globally to adopt Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and prioritise resource efficiency. 

To support Lebanese SMEs improve their environmental performance and optimise their resource utilisation, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the Syndicate of Lebanese Food Industrialists (SLFI) are hosting a training on EMS and resource efficiency. This training is designed to equip participants with the essential knowledge and skills to effectively implement EMS frameworks. It emphasises optimising resource usage, reducing costs, and fostering sustainable business practices that align with both organisational goals and environmental regulations.

Target participants for this training are local SME owners, founders, CEOs, operations and plant managers, environmental officers, HSE professionals, and senior management focused on sustainability and operational efficiency.
